What is worth looking at
Exterior photographs are most useful at the edges: where siding meets trim, around window frames, and along the underside of the soffit. On board-and-batten in particular, look at the battens, because every one of them has two edges where water can sit and they are the first thing a rushed job gives up on.
Cabinet photographs are worth looking at close and at an angle. A sprayed door has no brush texture in it from any distance, which is the reason ours are taken off and coated in a controlled setting rather than in the kitchen.
