Why we take the doors away
Cabinets are the most looked-at surface in a kitchen, and they are looked at from a foot away. A brush leaves marks at that distance. So doors and drawer fronts are removed, labeled, carefully prepared, and then sprayed in a controlled setting before being reinstalled, which is how a cabinet ends up with a factory-like finish rather than a painted one.
The frames and boxes stay where they are and are prepped and finished in place. The doors are rehung on their own hinges, in their own openings, because they were labeled on the way off.
What that means for your kitchen
The kitchen stays usable. The doors are away for the part of the job that produces the dust and the smell, which is the part you would least want happening beside the fridge.

What affects the price
The number of doors and drawer fronts rather than the size of the room, the material they are made from, their current finish and condition, whether the boxes are being done as well, and the finish chosen. We use Sherwin-Williams products.
