Impact Painting is a family-owned painting company. We serve Spartanburg, Boiling Springs, Valley Falls, Inman, Greer and Greenville, and we would rather explain how that works than let you assume.
How work here is arranged
Our operations are in northern Indiana and southwest Michigan, and work in this area is resourced on availability rather than by a permanently stationed local crew. We do not keep a walk-in office here either.
In practice that changes one thing and not the others. What it changes is timing: the dates are agreed with you when we quote, and we will tell you at the estimate stage when we can genuinely start rather than booking a slot we cannot reach. What it does not change is who does the job or how it is done. The same people who quote it do it, and they work the way the rest of this company works.
We say it plainly because the alternative is a website that reads identically to one describing a crew five minutes away, and you would find out the difference at the worst possible moment.

The company behind the work
These are the people the company is made of. They are not stationed in South Carolina, and this is a company roster rather than a branch one.

What the estimate covers
Someone looks at the property, talks through what you want done, and gives you a number for it. Free, and with no obligation. The condition of the existing surfaces decides most of the price, which is why it is a visit rather than a calculation.
Because of how this area is scheduled, the estimate conversation is also the timing conversation. You will get a start window with the number, and if the honest window does not suit you, no part of it obliges you to take it.
Photographs help enormously here. The estimate form takes up to five, and a picture of the elevation, the deck or the kitchen lets us tell you what the job involves and what it depends on before anybody schedules a trip.

What the upstate climate does to paint
Different problem from the north entirely. Up there, paint fails because water gets behind it and freezes; here it is heat, ultraviolet and long humid stretches. South and west elevations chalk and fade years ahead of the rest of the house, dark colors take a beating, and anything shaded and damp grows mildew that has to be killed rather than painted over, or it comes straight back through the new coat.
The practical consequence is that surface preparation here is as much about cleaning and treating as it is about scraping, and that spring pollen season is a genuinely bad time to be applying an exterior finish. Both are things we will raise at the estimate.

The work itself
Interior, exterior, cabinet and deck painting for homes and businesses, with drywall repair and power washing where the job needs them. Preparation is where the time goes: washing and treating exterior surfaces, scraping and priming, protecting and repairing interiors before any color is applied. Cabinet doors and drawer fronts are removed, carefully prepared, and sprayed in a controlled setting before being reinstalled. We use Sherwin-Williams products.
